Travelling with your dog
Make sure your dog has a safe, secure place to sit to prevent it distracting the driver or being injured in an accident. There are many products available to aid car travel including: dog guards, harnesses, pet carriers and mesh wire cages.Ensure your dog has its collar and tag on in case it runs away from the car.Do NOT leave your dog in your car unsupervised, unless absolutely necessary. Even in moderately sunny conditions dogs can die very quickly from heatstroke. If you do have to leave it, park in the shade, provide plenty of ventilation and water, and check on your dog regularly.
