Specialist Group Dog Walks
More than a walk. A great day for your dog.
Exclusive group walks for dogs whose owners expect exceptional care
Professional dog walking for local dogs who need exercise, enrichment, company and a little adventure while you're busy.
At Simply the Pets, we don't believe dog walking is simply about taking a dog from A to B. It's about giving them an enjoyable, appropriate experience that suits them.
With over 18 years of experience, every dog is carefully assessed before joining a group, with their temperament, behaviour, confidence and individual needs all taken into consideration.
What the dog needs. Not what we want.

About Our Walks
We walk in a variety of local outdoor spaces, giving dogs the chance to experience different sights, smells and environments rather than doing the same route every day.
Carefully matched groups
We walk with up to six dogs, carefully considering compatibility, temperament, energy levels and behaviour when creating groups.
Exercise & enrichment
Walks aren't just about tiring your dog out. Exploring, sniffing, socialising and experiencing the world are all important parts of a good walk.
Experienced handling
With over 18 years working with dogs, including professional training in canine body language and first aid, your dog is in experienced hands.
Updates after every walk
You'll receive photos and an update after your dog's service, so you can see what they've been up to while you've been away.
Licensing
Licensed. Professional. Experienced.
Simply the Pets is licensed by Tandridge Council and follows the Surrey County Council Dog Walkers’ Code of Conduct, giving you added peace of mind that your dog is in experienced, professional hands.
Minimum Requirement
Because dogs thrive on familiarity and routine, we ask for a minimum commitment of one walk per week. Regular walks allow us to build a relationship with your dog, understand their individual needs and provide the consistency that helps them feel comfortable and confident in our care.
Is group walking right for your dog?
At Simply the Pets, our group walks are designed to be safe, calm, well-managed and genuinely enjoyable for every dog in our care.
We also recognise that group walking isn't right for every dog. Our approach is always:
What the dog needs. Not what we want.
Before joining a group, we'll get to know your dog and consider their temperament, behaviour, confidence, energy levels and how they interact with other dogs.
And our assessment doesn't stop there. We continually monitor group dynamics and how each dog is coping. If we ever feel your dog isn't happy, relaxed or benefiting from the group environment, we'll talk to you honestly and work with you to find a more suitable option.
For a group walk to be suitable, we look for dogs who:
-
Enjoy being around other dogs of different breeds, ages and temperaments
-
Are comfortable walking on lead. Some excitement when arriving at the park is completely normal. For dogs who pull, we ask owners to provide a well-fitting harness to improve comfort, control and safety
-
Enjoy or are working towards some off-lead time. We can work with younger dogs as their recall develops and use long lines where appropriate
-
Can remain reasonably calm around other dogs without becoming excessively overstimulated
-
Travel comfortably in a vehicle
-
Are not in season if female
-
Can be unneutered males, who are very welcome and assessed individually based on their temperament and behaviour
Every dog is different, and suitability can change over time. That's why we don't simply assess a dog once and leave it at that.
Your dog's wellbeing comes first, always.

Looking for more than a standard walk?
Give your dog a proper day out.
Some dogs need a little more time, exercise and adventure than a standard group walk can provide. And sometimes, daycare just isn't the right fit.
Our Doggy Day Out gives your dog more time to explore, exercise and enjoy their day with us, while still benefiting from the personal, professional care of Simply the Pets.
Perfect for dogs who need extra exercise, more time out of the house, or simply a longer and more enriching day.
